Warrior Woes

I’ve spent the last four years of my life watching the Warriors run all over the NBA. LeBron was controlling the East, too, but that’s a story for another time. As an NBA fan, there’s nothing I dreaded more than knowing just who was going to come out of the Western Conference. And it wasn’t until just last year that I had no idea who would come out of the East. Stupid Klaw-man. Anyways, Steph Curry and his crew had complete control over one side of the NBA for years, and now they’re finally gone. Their entire team is pretty much injured, and I’d never wish that on any person. But how are you going to stand there and tell me you “feel bad” for the Warriors. I feel bad for the players who are getting hurt, but I have absolutely zero remorse for that franchise.

They took four years of NBA basketball away from me. All the excitement was gone. It got the point where even LeBron was helpless thanks to current Meme Team member JR Smith. What an idiot. He had to leave the whole conference just to get away from that guy, and as soon as Bron was gone, so was JR. From the whole league. The Warriors dynasty loomed above all out heads for years, and who knows what would have happened if Kerr decided to bench Durant like an intelligent coach. I guess in that case, the coach really is just as good as his players. It’s interesting really. You take away Kawhi, Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili from Pops, and he still makes the playoffs. But take away Curry, Thompson, and Durant, and Kerr is the laughing stock of the NBA. “Oh but Pops has DeRozan and Aldridge!” Yeah, and Kerr had two All-Stars in Russell and Green, how was that working out for him?

That brings me to another point. I love Draymond Green, and I think defensively he’s one of the best in our league. Even playmaking-wise he’s great, he’s even starting at point guard for the Warriors for now. But if you sit there and tell me he would have made the All-Star game on any other team in the NBA, I would have to give you a breathalyzer test. If you just looked at his stats, this man would barely be a starter, let alone an All-Star. Yes, his impact on the court is amazing, and you need to watch him to understand that, but if you put this guy anywhere but Golden State for the last four plus years, he doesn’t make a single All-Star team. This is one of the few cases where the situation made the player great, instead of vice versa.

Anyways, that’s my rant for the day. To all the true Golden State fans, I respect you more than ever right now. And to the millions of bandwagon fans who don’t show up to games anymore, you’re despicable and have no right to be a fan of NBA basketball. If you can’t stick with a team through thick and thin, don’t root for them at all. Good luck, Golden State, I have absolutely zero sympathy.
