On the day the Celtics signed veteran Dennis Schroder, second-year backcourt-mates Aaron Nesmith (33 points) and Payton Pritchard (20 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists) let the front office know that they are ready for bigger roles this season.
Carsen Edwards continued his solid play with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Romeo Langford scored just 8 points, but easily had the dunk of the Summer League so far with his one-handed slam in the second quarter.
Yam Madar struggled in his second NBA summer league game (0 points, 1 assist, 2 TO’s, in 16 minutes).
Led by Nesmith’s 7-9, the Summer League Celtics went 12-20 on three-point shots, going 11-18 in the first half.
