Boston lost in one of the messiest games of the season last night, falling 129-119 to the Trailblazers. Despite a big-time scoring night from Jayson Tatum, Aaron Nesmith’s gritty played shined through once again.

Nesmith tied his career-high, scoring 16 points for the second game in a row. He also added four rebounds to his statline. The rookie shot an efficient 6-7 from the field and 4-4 from deep.

He was once again all over the floor for the Celtics. Although he did have five fouls, it was an extremely impressive effort for Nesmith on both ends of the floor. The young wing has been playing a crucial role for the Celtics lately.

The Celtics fell to seventh in the East with the loss last night, but have a chance to get back in the win column tomorrow. They will take on the Orlando Magic at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC Sports Boston.
