The Celtics dropped yet another close game on the road last night. In a tough 107-110 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the C’s fought hard until the last play. They were led by the play of first-time All-Star Jaylen Brown, but it just wasn’t enough.

As the game got underway, both teams began trading shots. Jaylen came up big for the Celtics. He answered back on the offensive end when the Mavericks threatened to expand early leads. Contributing clutch baskets late in the game, it was Brown who gave the C’s their final lead in the waning seconds of the game. Although his performance was spoiled by a Luka Doncic buzzer-beater, JB had a solid outing. In the loss he recorded 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, shooting 60% from the field.

Headed to Atlanta to take on the Hawks on Wednesday night, the C’s will look to rebound from their recent misfortune. Brown and company are set to tip at 7:30 EST on NBC Sports Boston.
