The ayes have it! The people have spoken, and the Player of the Game for last night’s drubbing is none other than Jaylen Brown.

The Celtics played their first game in a week due to a COVID-19 breakout and the protocols that followed. Boston was hopeful to have some players return, and it turns out they could count on Jaylen Brown after his quarantine ended. Even with a week off, the young star didn’t miss a beat as the Celtics rolled the Magic 124-97.

Brown’s transformation this season has been a revelation, and because of it Boston has continued to turn to him. Last night was a perfect example as the team had to get back into rhythm with running mate Jayson Tatum still out with COVID-19. Jaylen Brown was an efficient scorer once again, shooting 6/12 from the floor, 2/5 from deep, and a perfect 7 of 7 from the free throw line. On top of that, Brown logged a career-high 8 assists, and that was just in 25 minutes of play on the night.

The Celtics will take a 5 game win streak into Sunday’s matinee matchup with the 11th place Knicks, who have lost 5 straight. Tip off is at 1PM EST.
