Jaylen Brown scored 26 points and Dennis Schroder added 22 as Boston won its season-high fifth straight game by routing the Orlando Magic on Sunday night. What are some of the top takeaways from the contest?

3 takeaways from the Boston Celtics 116-83 win vs. the Orlando Magic

1. The ball is MOVING!

Boston racked up 29 assists on 45 made field goals. The game gets a little easier and the players are more engaged when everyone touches the ball within the flow of the offense. The offense is really getting on the same page!

2. Welcome back Al Horford

Big Al gave the Celtics a solid game tonight with 13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, one block, and a steal in 29 minutes of floor time. I saw some bully ball from Horford on the offensive end and it was good to see him going up with force. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come!

3. We can see the top of the mountain now!

Is it true? The Celtics, at 30-25, are just three games back of the fifth seed (Philadelphia 76ers) and 4.5 games behind the Miami Heat for the top spot in the Eastern Conference?! On paper, this team isn’t expected to go very deep into the postseason, but ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs. This defense could carry the Celtics into the great unknown and shock some people!

Boston will look to keep up their momentum on an upcoming three-game road trip. This will start on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. when they head to Brooklyn to take the struggling Nets, who have lost eight straight and have fallen to seventh, putting them in a virtual tie with the Celtics in the Eastern Conference standings.
