Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the Boston Celtics will roll out the welcome mat tonight against Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Celtics are coming off of a tough 101-99 victory over the New York Knicks. The Wolves dropped a 141-137 decision to the Indiana Pacers in their last contest.

The Green Gang is led by their two All-Stars - forward Jayson Tatum (25.1 ppg) and guard Jaylen Brown (24.3 ppg).  Brown is coming off one of his best games of the season scoring 32 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the win over New York.

Karl-Anthony Towns leads the Timberwolves in scoring at 24.8 ppg. Rookie Anthony Edwards is pumping in 17.8 ppg, and over his last 10 games is scoring 22.6 points per contest.  The Celtics have had trouble with talented big men all season and KAT definitely qualifies as a talented big.  Robert Williams had a rough outing against Joel Embiid; let’s hope he fares better against Towns.

On the injury front, Minnesota will be without guard Malik Beasley (hamstring), forward Josh Okogie (personal), and forward Jaylen Nowell (leg).

For the Celtics, guard Evan Fournier is still in the NBA’s health and safety protocol and will not play tonight.

Boston is 3-3 on this season-long seven-game homestand and nothing would be better than to close it out with a win tonight. Make sure to tune in to our live pregame show, the Banner Town Build Up, 30 minutes before the game on YouTube and Twitter @GuyBostonSports. The Celtics will tip-off against the T-Wolves at 7:30 PM EST on NBC Sports Boston.

Sam and Jack are back to talk about Paul Pierce and the latest Celtics news! After his now-famous Instagram live shenanigans, Pierce has been let go by ESPN. This, along with a mysterious Tweet from Abby Chin, has many fans believing that Pierce could link up with NBC Sports Boston.
